FHSC Outreach provides our members with unique ways to reach out and help others.
Our Community Outreach program coordinates several volunteer experiences throughout the year designed so that members can give of their time, as well as materialistically, to benefit not only club members, but also our military, their family members, and the community as a whole.
The FHSC hosts welfare projects at our monthly luncheons to benefit local non-profit and US Military related organizations. Our members are encouraged to give back to our greater community by donating to these causes.
In 2014 FHOSC provided over $80,000 in grants to numerous community organizations. The funds are generated through our annual charity fundraisers:
A few of the organizations we have helped over the years are:
- Fort Hood Area Military Family Member Scholarship Fund
- Santa's Workshop
- Cove House
- Special Olympics
- Families In Crisis
- Fort Hood Volunteer Child Care Fund
- United Services Organization (USO)
- Ft. Hood Layette programs
We also host a "Sweetheart Bingo" event in February, for Senior Citizens in the Central Texas Area.
If you know of an organization that would like to apply for a grant, please download and complete our outreach request form.
